What’s it all about?

The Manchester Language Study has been running nationwide since 1995, based at the University of Manchester. We have two different groups of people who give their time to help us. You will either have taken part in the study since you were 7 years old or you will first have taken part when you were 16 years old. The people who have taken part since they were 7 were all getting some help for speech or language difficulties when they were younger.

If you first took part at age 7 years, you are one of the original 242 children who took part. Over the years we have looked at many different areas of your lives. You may have taken part when you were 7, 8, 11, 14, 16 and 17 years old! We may also have come to visit your families as well!
